- 58 year old disabled war veteran. sheesh...older than time itself. I am a lesbian, a warrior, and a transsexual woman. Have been for over 50 years. So...I figure I don't need anyone's permission anymore.
I dislike "chatting", but I love good conversation. I can't knit, but I love to cook. I've read over 17,000 books in my short life (i read fast).
I've raced dragsters. built and lived in the coolest treehouse, been WAY offshore on a 28' ketch, lived on my boat here for 6 years. I spent 27 years as a master carpenter. I'm also a retired Commissioner for the City and County of San Francisco. Just your average girl.
I like my 'tree' profile pic, but I have a rather large picture of myself on my home page, if you're curious. But i'll warn you...i'm not the prettiest girl in school. I don't know who started that rumor anyway.
Oh...I can find something to smile about, even on my worst day. And I do. Smile, I mean...and often.

Here is what I do in my "spare" time. Project Homeless Connect started here in San Francisco back in October 2004. It has since become a 'National Best Model', replicated in over 200 cities across the nation. And, including Canada and Australia, it had gone worldwide. Phillip Mongano, prez bush's Homeless Czar, says "Project Homeless Connect is the beginning of the end of homelessness." i blush when I say i'm on the senior leadership team. And yet this video still brings tears to my eyes. Our next SF event (our 26th) is February 11th, 2009. Check us out...
