Ok I have been in LA for a few weeks now and I only have one week left!!! I am 20 and can't get into a lot of places here (im so close though!). Does anyone have suggestions for places to go when youre underage? Not necessarily GLBT or clubs...just stuff to do. My sister will be working a lot so my days are me just finding ways to entertain myself in the city. Thanks for anything you've got!!

There's Disneyland, Magic Mountain, Knotts Berry Farm, West Hollywood, a lot of LGBT stuff out there. It's nutty too, I love the place...for an unfortunate straight guy :( then there are the beaches. What specifically do you want to do?

oooo a berry farm sounds fun!! i just kind of want to experience LA as a local. I want to do things that people who live here normally would do...not too much touristy stuff. If that makes sense hehe!!

What do we do? We stay home...LOL. Give me a buzz and I'll recommend some places. But please call after 7 p.m., and we can talk for awhile. I sent you mail so feel free to call.

well I have kids and so I have to find stuff to do that is underage too haha

so Knotts Berry farm is an adventure roller coaster theme park and also has a water park attached too. Near there is also the wax museum, medieval times, and other smaller attractions. In Los Angeles there is the Hollywood Walk of Fame the Hollywood sign and all sorts of things sprinkled throughout the city. There are museums, the Colosseum, USC, the IMAX theater, etc. If you drive up to San Francisco or down to San Diego you are going to find things to do as well, but if you drive out to Long Beach which is near my home, or into West Hollywood you will find many LGBT friendly businesses of all sorts to just browse around and/or shop at. Also in Long Beach is the Queen Mary (supposedly haunted), Spruce Goose, and Aquarium of the Pacific. Plus there are also nice parks all over the county and the beach is nice too. Santa Monica Pier has a roller coaster and small theme park on the pier, plus right near there is the 3rd street Promenade which has a farmers market sometimes. Farmers markets in any city are always nice, there is a good on in Long Beach where many people sit and eat the treats they buy, plus take a look into the nightime swap meet in La Mirada or the Strawberry Festival in Whittier. Google any of those things, or google california attractions and you will find what you are looking for. I know when I was 18 there were "all ages" clubs, and I believe that Hamburger Mary's is family friendly until a certain time of night when it becomes 21 and over. There is one in West Hollywood and Long Beach, but another thing to do is just ask anyone you think looks like they know and you might be surprised what they recommend. Have fun in any case!!
